DEADLINE FOR THE OUTDOOR SCULPTURE WALKABOUT IS MARCH 1, 2010

THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON THE ARTS (TCA) IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE ROSTER OF THE TEXAS TOURING ARTS PROGRAM!  

 
Designed to ensure that all Texans are able to enjoy the work of Texas-based artists and performers, the TCA provides grants to help defray the costs of touring artists and companies from their roster. 
 
The on-line application process is open to Texas-based artists who have a registered user name and password.  For information on how to register and to see the guidelines of the program, please click here.

MAAA RECEIVES $250,000 CHALLENGE GRANT FROM MABEE FOUNDATION!
 
The J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Okla., has awarded a $250,000 challenge grant to Mid-America Arts Alliance in support of our first large-scale public fundraising initiative. 
 
Funds raised through this capital campaign will allow Mid-America to expand and improve our Crossroads Arts District headquarters, culminating in a "Culture Lab" capstone renovation which will include a staging area for anticipated exhibition installations, performing arts events, lectures by visiting curators and artists, artist residencies, and poetry workshops.
