Mid-America's Grantmaking Program is intended to support and promote touring of high-quality professional performing artists throughout the Mid-America region, building new audiences for these programs and deepening the impact of performing arts touring on local cultural development.
For FY2011, the Regional Touring Program comprises two separate funding categories, described below. One of these grantmaking programs, Community Engagement with Touring Artists (CETA), is repeated this year with a higher level of support available. The Regional Touring Program (RTP) replaces last year’s Touring Artists Fee Subsidy grantmaking program, and has changed to encompass grants to those presenters who book touring artists from the Mid-America Artists Registry.
