PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Professional Development division evolved from the research and capacity training projects of Mid-America Arts Alliance's Visual Arts and Humanities division.
From 1999-2002, four major research projects were completed that began to document the needs of our constituents and encouraged Mid-America to undertake the development of a capacity building and training program to enhance the capabilities of small and midsize institutions. These projects resulted in the Professional Development division's Research, Training, and Convening services. The division also provides a number of resources to organizations through its website.
