Anne Nichols Joins Mid-America Arts Alliance Finance Staff

Kansas City, MO – Mid-America Arts Alliance announces the appointment of Anne Nichols as Human Resources & Finance Associate.

In this position, Nichols will process payroll and maintain human resource records; serve as primary contact for the organization’s cafeteria plan and other insurance policies; and perform cash disbursement functions and bank reconciliations. She will also support Greg Hubbard, Finance and Grants Analyst, and Todd Stein, Director of Finance and Administration, by providing assistance with accounting tasks.

“I am very excited to join Mid-American Arts Alliance and be a part of an organization contributing to the vitality of the arts in the region,” said Nichols. “My career up until now has focused on all of the duties required for this job, and I’ve been involved with the arts in Kansas City through volunteer work, so combining both areas of interest feels like a great fit.”

Nichols previously worked for Sulgrave Regency Condominium, advancing from leasing consultant to administrative manager in her seven years with the company. As administrative manager, she was responsible for all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and benefits consultation. She also supervised all facets of property maintenance, resident relations, and logistical details of coordinating services and scheduling events. In 2003, she was named Assistant Manager of the Year by Sulgrave’s parent company, Prudential Signature Property Management, Inc.

“Anne has ample experience in human resources and finance, and her experience managing budgets, training employees, and working with clients and consultants is a boon for Mid-America Arts Alliance,” says Todd Stein, Director of Finance and Administration. “We are very pleased that she has joined our staff.”

A Kansas City native, Nichols graduated from Truman State University with a BA in sociology and anthropology. She is married to Haynes Nichols, owner of TimberLab Furniture Works.
