Mid-America Arts Alliance Hires Exhibitor Relations Assistant

Kansas City, MO – Rachel Saalweachter joined the staff at Mid-America Arts Alliance as Exhibitor Relations Assistant in the ExhibitsUSA department in August 2004.

In her new role, Seaton provides assistance and customer service to hosts of ExhibitsUSA exhibitions. She is also responsible for database management; inventory control and sales; and representation of EUSA at conferences and museum visits. Seaton reports to Nicole Forster, Exhibitor Relations Coordinator.

"I am excited for the opportunity to work with ExhibitsUSA and to be a part of their mission to bring the arts to communities across the country," said Seaton.

Seaton previously worked as Senior Bookstore Clerk for Avila University. During her tenure there, she developed and assisted with programs that worked to connect students and staff to the Kansas City community. A long-time volunteer for political campaigns and voter awareness, she also assisted with campus voter registration.

“Emily has focused her education, training, and career on the arts, humanities, and education,” said Lin Nelson-Mayson, Director of ExhibitsUSA. “That kind of dedication is always a welcome addition to our organization. We are glad to have her join our staff, and we are excited about the assets that she brings to the position.”

A native of Manhattan, Kansas, Seaton attended Kenyon College and the University of Kansas. She received her bachelor’s in art history with a history minor from KU. While pursuing her degree, Seaton held an internship at the Beach Museum of Art at Kansas State University.
