Mid-America Arts Alliance Names Tricia Hoffman as Director of
Development
Kansas City, MO – Mid-America Arts Alliance announces the appointment
of Tricia Hoffman as Director of Development. As the Director of Development
Hoffman serves as the senior grant writer, supervises staff grant writers,
and pursues other avenues of private and public funding for Mid-America
Arts Alliance. She works closely with the Mid-America Arts Alliance board
of directors in organizing its fundraising efforts and ensures that Mid-America
Arts Alliance meets funder objectives and requirements.
Hoffman, an employee at Mid-America Arts Alliance since October 2001,
gained a valuable holistic understanding of the organization working as
Curatorial Assistant for ExhibitsUSA, a national division of Mid-America
Arts Alliance. In that capacity, she assisted former Curator of Exhibitions
Jennifer Cahn, PhD, in the development of traveling arts and humanities
exhibitions. She served as a Development Associate before accepting the
Director of Development position.
“Tricia has extensive knowledge of Mid-America Arts Alliance, particularly
of ExhibitsUSA, and she has proven herself a remarkably capable manager
and grant writer,” says Mary Kennedy McCabe, Executive Director.
“She also understands our organizational dynamics and works very
well with our board of directors, two key elements in making our fundraising
pursuits successful.”
Prior to her employment with ExhibitsUSA, Hoffman worked at Berea Children’s
Home in Berea, Ohio, and at Don Drumm Studios and Gallery in Akron, Ohio.
“It’s very gratifying to be able to contribute so much to
Mid-America Arts Alliance,” says Hoffman. “I’ve seen
so many changes and so much growth over the last four years, and I look
forward to the challenge of helping to sustain that trend through fundraising.”
Hoffman earned her BS in psychology from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea,
Ohio. She is married to Will Meek.
