Brent A. Caswell to Lead Fundraising Efforts at Mid-America Arts Alliance
Kansas City-based regional arts organization serves Arkansas,
Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas

Brent A. Caswell has been named Director of Development at Mid-America Arts Alliance, according to Executive Director Mary Kennedy McCabe.

Caswell, who holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive designation, has worked in development and administrative leadership positions since 1993. He will begin with Mid-America Arts Alliance Feb. 12.

“Working for a regional arts organization that is respected and admired for all they do is an exciting opportunity for me," Caswell says. "We are a leader in creating and managing regional, multi-regional and national arts and humanities programs. Mid-America has a wonderful story that more people should know about.”

Caswell's career in development includes work for the Overland Park-based American Diabetes Association, as executive director and then as director of the research foundation. Before that, he was director of development for the Kansas City Hospice Foundation (Health Midwest) and with Health Midwest-Independence. He also was a planned giving executive at the headquarters of Community of Christ World Headquarters in Independence, Mo.

He earned a B.S. in Psychology/Communications at Missouri State University (then Southwest Missouri State) in 1987. He received a Fund Raising Certificate from the Bloch School of Business at UMKC in 1995 and his CFRE certification in 2000.
