| AMERICAN MASTERPIECES: DANCE (AMD) is the dance component of a major initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to acquaint Americans with the best of their cultural and artistic legacy. The AMD project celebrates the extraordinary and rich evolution of dance and choreography in the United States. With its partners, the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) and Dance/USA, the NEA will sponsor select performances, tours, and educational programs that will reach large and small communities throughout the United States. Mid-America Arts Alliance, working in partnership with NEFA, will support tours of AMD companies through the Mid-America region and provide additional tour support.
