AMD Works on Tour

Paul Taylor Dance CompanyAMD Touring Grants provide funding for the distribution and presentation (touring) of dance work. Funds support artists costs related to touring the work. Touring grant subsidies are paid directly to presenters (up to thirty percent awarded by NEFA; up to twenty percent awarded by Mid-America). Touring Grants fall into two categories:

  • Touring Grants for projects that have received an AMD Reconstruction Grant, listed in the American Masterpieces: Dance Reconstruction Projects, 2008-2009 Booklet. These projects have met AMD Reconstruction criteria and have advanced through AMD's competitive, two-stage review process to receive reconstruction support. In selecting projects, AMD also considers scale, geography, and the representation of diverse ethnicities and artistic forms.

  • Touring Grants for Tour Only supported projects that have not received an AMD Reconstruction Grant, but have been nominated for AMD Tour Only Support.
