Regional Touring Program

Applications for the 2008-2009 program year will be available January 15, 2008.

If you have any questions, please contact Performing Arts Program Manager Betty Maltbia at 816-421-1388.

The Regional Touring Program enriches the cultural life of communities in a six-state region (Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas) through support of touring performing arts programs.

In partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program, the Mid-America Regional Touring Program supports performing artists fees for presenters of all sizes and types. Presentations of any professional performing artist or company outside the presenter's state are considered.

Special incentives are provided for engaging performing artists from within the Mid-America region and additional incentives are provided to rural or economically distressed communities.

Artist Registry: Click here to visit the enhanced artist registry that allows presenters to seek artists that fit their needs, searching specifically by artist fee, discipline, and home state. This listing provides an extensive list of recommended artists from all disciplines that have been selected from the Mid-America region states (Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas). Presenters have the option of seeking support for any professional performing artist. Support is not limited to artists from this listing.
