M-AAA’s Regional Touring Program (RTP) awards grants to qualifying organizations that present public events in their area. These grants are designed to support projects of artistic excellence and merit by underwriting fees of artists who live in the region. RTP grants cover up to $5,000 up to 50% of artists' fees for artists of all disciplines, like those for Perpetual Motion (at right) on Oklahoma's Performing Artists Roster.
With the M-AAA's new fiscal year, covering events between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016, applications now will be accepted on a rolling deadline.
- Applicants may apply at any time up to eight weeks before the start date of their project. For example, if an event is to take place July 1, 2015, the grant application is due no later than May 6, 2015.
- Award letters will be sent by mail three weeks before the start of the project.
- Drafts submitted less than twelve weeks in advance of project start dates will not be reviewed.
