ArtSpace Residency / Deadline: October 1

Students from Artspace’s Summer Arts Program get a tutorial on how to make 3-D paintings from 2016 Summer Artist in Residence Andrew Hladky.

The Summer Artist Residency at Artspace provides an artist with a month-long studio opportunity and $2,000 stipend (paid at the end of the residency) to work on a project of their choice and to interact with the public and the artist community. It is also an opportunity for an artist to exhibit the work they create immediately following the residency. During the residency period, the artist teaches two classes or workshops in conjunction with the Artspace Summer Arts Program (ASAP), and presents a general lecture or demonstration about their own work or a related topic.

ArtSpace will work with the artist to find adequate housing for the residency period.
