The NEA Big Read, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. Showcasing a diverse range of contemporary books that reflect many different voices and perspectives, the NEA Big Read aims to inspire conversation and discovery.

The Big Read is currently seeking applications from nonprofit libraries and other organizations for one of its grants supporting dynamic reading programs, based on one of the 28 reading selections. Up to 75 grants, ranging  from $5,000 to $20,000, will be awarded for a variety of programs across the country. Hurry! The deadline is Thursday, January 26 at 4:00 p.m. CST.
