Fiber Art Residency in Homer Alaska / Deadline October 31


Alaska Fiber Arts Residency at Bunnell Street Arts Center aims to support an artist exploring the relationships between wearable art and fashion in costume design, sculpture and/or associated fields.

In this four week residency, the artist will produce at least three “wearable art” pieces for exhibition, conduct intensive collaborations with local participants, exploring the relationships between art and fashion. Work by the artist and local participants will be presented at the Homer Fiber Art Collective’s annual Wearable Arts Runway Show. The artist is also invited to bring a previous body of work (preferably “wearable art”) for exhibition within Bunnell’s Gallery during the residency.


$2000 cash stipend for one month; $500 travel allowance; lodging in a private room with a shared kitchen and living area above the arts center; $500 materials budget
