RFQ: Residency for Artists Impacted by Hurricanes / Deadline Nov 17
Residency Opportunity for Artists Impacted by Hurricanes Request for Proposals
Wesleyan University Center for the Arts
How can the arts address and respond to the environmental and humanitarian crises wrought by climate change? How do we redefine humankind’s evolving relationship to nature, specifically to water? What role might the arts play in rebuilding after storms?
In light of the devastation due to the hurricane season of 2017, Wesleyan University Center for the Arts, in collaboration with the College of the Environment, seeks to invite an artist or artists from areas affected by the hurricanes to campus for a short-term residency in April, 2018. We invite artists of all disciplines to propose a project that responds to these questions, and explores the evolving human relationship to water.
