Announcing Three New Artist INC Live Cohorts

Seventy-four artists in Houston, Texas; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Wichita, Kansas will supercharge their art careers this spring with the help of the professional development, peer mentoring and one-on-one coaching of Artist INC Live.

Mid-America Arts Alliance is pleased to announce the newest cohorts of Artist INC Live in partnership with Fresh Arts, Houston; Arkansas Arts Council, Little Rock; and Harvester Arts, Wichita. The artists were selected from a competitive application process, and the programs will begin in late March. Selected artists and creatives represent multiple artistic disciplines including visual, literary, and performing arts.

Houston Artist INC 2023 participants are:

The three programs in Arkansas, Kansas, and Texas will run weekly for eight weeks beginning in late March. Artist INC Live sessions include strategic planning, writing about your work, financial planning, public speaking, building your online presence, sharing your work with the public, and more.

One additional cohort will be announced soon this spring for the Topeka, Kansas, cohort in partnership with ArtsConnect Topeka.

Artist INC sessions are led by Peer Facilitators, all local artists who have been trained by Mid-America Arts Alliance to guide conversations and topics to help artists elevate and amplify their professional artistic practices. Facilitators for these sessions include Paula Martin, Ben Grimes, Justin Tyler-Bryant, Veronica Wirges, Robert Bean, Kai Coggin, Chris Dahlquist in Little Rock; Lauren Hirsh, Amanda Pfister, April Pameticky, Rob Simon, Kevin Kelly, Kristen Beal and Mina Estrada in Wichita; Dominique Royem, Eepi Chaad, Chris Thomas, Outspoken Bean, Tami Mochioni, Lori Yuill in Houston.

Artist INC is a professional development program of, by, and for artists of all disciplines. Since its inception in Kansas City, Missouri in 2009, Artist INC Live has served over 1,500 artists in 13 different communities across M-AAA’s six state region and beyond.
