Mid-America Arts Alliance is pleased to welcome Eepi Chaad and Allison Bowman to the Artist Services division of M-AAA. The Artist Services division manages Artists 360, Artist INC, Artist INC Express, Artist Leadership Fellows, Catalyze, and What Works programs, all designed to help artists thrive.

Expansion of staff is evidence of the growth of Artist INC, which has been in 14 communities across the region. In the current fiscal year, that number jumps up to 17 communities, with 3 new collaborative partners hosting over 23 Artist INC programs. We are thrilled to have additional staff to support the work of our artist facilitators and partners.

Eepi Chaad (she/her) is the Program Officer–Professional Development and oversees the Artist INC, Artist INC Express, and Artist Leadership Fellows programs.

Eepi is a practicing multidisciplinary artist, cultural worker, and naturalist based in Houston, TX. Eepi tells stories using textiles, fibers, metals, places, and people. Eepi collaborates with various arts and culture organizations currently including serving on the PrintMatters board, the Houston Museum Educators Roundtable steering committee, and advisory boards for Baker Ripley Gulfton and Buffalo Bayou Partnership. Prior to joining the team at Mid-America Arts Alliance, Eepi has utilized art to build community in roles with Arts Connect Houston, Art League Houston, and Artist Boat. Eepi believes art is for every community and creativity is in every human.

Allison Bowman (she/her) is the Artist Services Program Associate working across all professional development (Artist INC, Artist INC Express, and Artist Leadership Fellows) programs.

She moved to the Kansas City area after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in fine art from K-State in 2017.
